Following Others: This is the blog in which I focus on my beliefs and I will not be following anyone.
I teach Gospel Doctrine in my ward and this past Sunday we had the lesson about Elijah and the Still Small Voice. In our discussion of Kings 19 a class member brought up how we can apply verse 9 to ourselves. In this verse the Lord is asking Elijah, “What doest thou here, Elijah” and Elijah gives his reply, later the Lord asks Elijah the same question again. This class member shared how we can apply this question to ourselves and imagine that in some difficult times in our lives the Lord asking us, “What doest thou here?” She shared how applying this question would remind us that we are here to prove ourselves and to do the will of Him that sent us.
After that class I was inspired to make the above as a reminder to myself.
